Solution to SSS LMS printing error

Recently, our HR acquired a new PC. All applications being used were upgraded. Sad to say, the programs provided by the SSS from their website were not all compatible with the recent change. Upon using the SSS LMS program, an error was encountered, "Error printing employee details".

In connection with this, I was tasked to fix the error. After several attempts of browsing through forums and searching for answers, I stumbled upon this post from a forum. The solution I came to required downloading and installing the old SSS R3 program. After installing it, the SSS LMS program work.

Here is a link for the old R3 program. Just download it, extract to "C:\r3tdvb\", navigate to "C:\r3tdvb\install\", double-click the accompanying setup.exe, and voila, problem solved.

Hope this helps...

  2. Here is a more effective way to solve the problem.

After installing SSS_LMS, copy MSDBRPTR.DLL from lmstd folder and paste it in C:\Windows\sysWOW64 folder. Stay in sysWoW64 foder and locate the file cmd.exe. Right click cmd.exe and click on "Run as administrator." The black command screen appeares with
    C:\Windows\system32>
    Type in Regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSDBRPTR.DLL
Now on the command screen entry you have:
    C:\Windows\system32>Regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSDBRPTR.DLL
    Press "Enter"
This process finally worked for me after trying everything I found in help files that did not work.

You can now print Employee Details as many copies as you want.
